Ibagari Boutique Hotel

My husband and I just visited Roatan for the first time last week. After some research, I discovered Ibagari. It had everything we wanted on paper - great atmosphere, food, and a dive center on the property. However, being there absolutely exceeded all expectations!!!! The staff is wonderful and went above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable in every way. We booked a dive package and dove with Duna Divers every morning. Each dive was better than the last and the team paid such great attention to detail and safety. We loved exploring the island underwater! And last but not least, the FOOD. Breakfast was out of this world and dinner could not have been more romantic. We loved Ibagari and will absolutely go back if we return to Roatan!

My stay in Ibagari was spectacular. The room amenities are excellent, the staff's attention makes you feel appreciated. The restaurant food was delicious. With my friends we did the snorkeling tour and the sunset tour, which is a must. Thank you Ibagari for excellent service.

We had an excellent stay and it is the best dive resort we have ever stayed in. The dives are very exclusive, no more than 6 divers pero boat and the crew takes care of every small detail, including the assembly of all the equipment, towels for every diver, fruit and water before / after each dive. Definitely the best personal attention we have ever received in any resort.

Perhaps the best dive service we have ever had. The entire experience was fabulous and every guide was professional and very enjoyable. Axel runs a tight ship with major attention to a divers needs. As a bonus the hotel and staff were similarly delightful.

Ibagari was a fantastic experience and highly recommend for anyone visiting Roatan! Beautiful grounds, the architecture really embraces the natural landscape of Turtle Beach. This allows guests to immediately feel relaxed by the sounds of birds and the ocean, surrounded by lush trees and plantings. The rooms are very comfortable. We stayed in U8, which came with breathtaking views of the ocean on the balcony. The balcony was also a nice size with comfy seating. The bed was very comfortable and having the motorized curtains was clutch! Bathroom was nice as well, walk in shower with tub inside. Shower also had an ocean view. My wife and I were there February '25, visiting Roatan for my good friend's wedding and Ibagari provided an amazing setting for a dream wedding celebration. Anyone planning to have a destination wedding in Roatan, this is the place to have your big bash. The restaurant and lounge areas were great to just hang for the afternoon. Drinks are incredible, really enjoyed the watermelon margaritas! Food is out of this world as well. Conch carpaccio and ceviche were some of our favorites. Lobster benedict for brunch a must try as well. The food for the wedding was delicious, very high quality. You will thoroughly enjoy the spa treatments as well. If you want a couples massage, they will have you so relaxed you might end up falling asleep during your massage! Finally, the best thing about Ibagari above all is the staff and the world class service you will receive. Everyone there was kind, attentive and professional. Special shout out to the following staff members who took extra special care of us, and helped make our experience in Roatan all the more memorable: Roland, Luis, Mily and Addis who were the guest experience/concierge personnel who were fantastic. They were all friendly, really accommodating, patient and helpful. Eduardo who heads up the restaurant does an outstanding job and has an incredible staff. Marvin and Sara were the best servers, David making the best cocktails! Overall you will not be disappointed with your stay at Ibabari. Can't wait to return to paradise, soon!

This was the best experience we have had in the Caribbean, and we have traveled to most islands. It was simply amazing. The resort was beautiful, and the staff was over the top attentive, without being intrusive or annoying. The room, the restaurant, and the grounds were perfectly done. The food was delicious. The free water taxis were super convenient, but after traveling to west bay and west end, we were extra happy to be at Ibagari. The crowds and cruise ships make those areas mayhem. It was nice to be able to go there, and leave. West Bay can be reached by walking about 15-20 min on the beach. The only "complaint" was that the water is not Caribbean blue in front of the resort, due to the tan colored sand. The sand could also be silty as you went in the water and you would sink in spots. The beach, the sand and water, is definitely nicer in west bay and west end. Their beaches are much more beautiful....but packed with people everywhere. We quickly decided that we would choose serenity over aqua blue water. There is not great snorkeling off the beach either, but you can take a quick kayak trip areas that are. The hotel restaurant is great, but the neighboring hotels and restaurants that were walkable from the beach were also outstanding. They also offered a security guard to walk back with you along the dark beach at night. We did not feel unsafe at all on this island, but we appreciated the added safety on a dark beach walk home. This place was truly special. It's hard to imagine anyone being disappointed.
